  • AFC Has Decided to Award Uzbekistan with 1+2 Quotas

  • Today Executive Committee of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided that Uzbekistan will be represented by three teams in AFC Champions League 2014. One team which is, Uzbekistan champion and domestic cup winner, Bunyodkor will start there road to the final from group stage and two more teams league runner-up Lokomotiv and second runner-up Nasaf will start from play off stage. Group stage matches will start on 26 and 27 February.

    Since 2008 Bunyodkor never missed AFC Champions League edition and every time club have qualified through the group stage. As of now the best result for Bunyodkor in ACL is semi-final, which they have reach twice- for the first time it was in 2008 when the club just changed their name from Kuruvchi to Bunyodkor, and for the second time it was happened in 2012. We hope that this year Bunyodkor will be able to improve their best achievement.
