  • "Bunyodkor" revenged for defeat in Osaka

  • “Bunyodkor” defeated “Gamba Osaka” in AFC Champon League Match Day 4 game on “JAR” arena.

    This match was very important for both sides – win gave good chance to advance to play-off stage, while defeat left almost no chance. So, both side started match in attacking style. And home team completed to score fast goal. Viktor Karpenko made good cross fro right wing and Kamoliddin Mirzoev put ball in by header – 1:0.

    But “Gamba” equalized very soon. Kurata Shuni shot from 18 meters distance and Nesterov failed to save – 1:1.

    On last minutes of the first half Mirjalol Kasimov side attacked very intense and at last Latfulla Turaev gave the lead back to “Bunyodkor”, scoring a goal by header. It was not easy to make good header after Kenzhisariev pass, but Turaev did – 2:1 to “Bunyodkor” in first half.

    After the break away team started to attack much more active and Mirjalal Kasimov decided to make some tactical changes and let in two speedily strikers – Anvar Rajabov and Anvarjon Soliev. These substitutions gave effect very soon. Anvarjon Soliev took the ball after Viktor Karpenko amazing pass, ran away from defenders, got to one on one position and used his chance very well as skillful striker must do – 3:1. 

    Abe regained a goal for “Gamba Osaka” just before the final whistle, but this goal couldn’t change anything – final score was 3-2 to “Bunyodkor”, who revenged for defeat in Osaka.
